My stay at the hotel was worth every penny. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and a large bathroom. The location was perfect, close to Volcanoes national park, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The food for breakfast could have been better, with more options and variety.

I loved the peace and quiet of the rainforest! The room is located in a century-old home and has a certain charm lacking in newer facilities. Volcanoes National Park is just a few miles away and you can come back to the room and relax between hikes. Lastly, who could forget Bob?

Really close to the National Volcanoes Park. Room was clean, as well as the shared bathroom.
When I got up to take a shower, someone was jut ahead of me and that person stayed in there for 45min.

The lodge had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a microwave, coffee machine, hot tub, and a stunning view. The bed was amazing, and I enjoyed having a living room and TV. Meeting fellow travelers added to the experience. Access to Kilauea Volcano was a highlight.
Felt so much at home, no reason to complain.

I had a delightful stay at a quirky hotel near Volcano National Park. The setting of the chalets and the hot tub in the beautiful gardens was perfect for relaxation. My room on the first floor overlooked a serene carp pond, adding to the charm. The hotel's proximity to Volcano National Park made it even more convenient for exploring.
Although the overall experience was great, there was some grit between the bed sheets on my first night. I wondered how it got there and if the bedding had been changed properly.

We stayed at Chalet Kilauea for a few nights while exploring the nearby Volcano National Park. The cozy hotel is just outside the park and offers a wonderful setting with chalets and a hot tub in beautiful gardens. Our room on the first floor had a lovely view of the carp pond. We were pleasantly surprised by the shared kitchen and pizza oven, which allowed us to have fun cooking our own meals. The staff provided extra blankets for the colder nights, which my wife really appreciated. we loved the convenient location, friendly staff, and the feeling of being in a tropical paradise.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Okay, so I guess there were a couple of good things about this place. The location was pretty convenient, being near the volcano and all. Plus, there were restaurants, shops, and a gas station nearby, so that was handy. And I guess one thing I did enjoy was the fact that the price was reasonable. But overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
Oh man, where do I even start with this place? First of all, the photos on the website make it look way nicer than it really is.

We had a fantastic time at this charming place! The location couldn't have been better - just minutes away from the park entrance and a stone's throw from delicious restaurants. The customer service was top-notch, with quick and responsive assistance. The room itself was stunning and had a unique touch. We especially loved the heaters that kept us cozy during the cooler evenings. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend staying here.
While our stay was amazing, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. finding the place could be a bit confusing, and the office had limited opening hours.

I loved the cozy and charming Swiss chalet vibe of the room at Chalet Kilauea. The high ceilings and spacious layout made it feel very comfortable. The fact that it had both a heater and a fan was great, especially since it can get cold in Volcano. The view of the Koi Pond and garden from the room was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was lively with colorful tiles and had a nice shower. Being a disabled traveler, I appreciated the amenities and facilities that catered to my needs.
I felt at ease during my stay at Chalet Kilauea and had nothing to complain about.

The location of the hotel was great, nestled on a beautiful street in the midst of the rainforest. It provided a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located only 2 miles from the entrance of a national park, making it easy for sightseeing.
The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar and could definitely use some improvement. There was a noticeable lack of cleanliness and the rooms were in need of upgrading and deeper cleaning.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable, with cotton sheets and a cozy bed. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from Volcano Village and close to the entrance of the National Park. The staff treated us very well, offering complimentary teas and coffee during office hours.
Breakfast choices could be more varied.

Loved the spacious and clean room, complete with high ceilings and a cozy seating area. The bathroom was beautiful and well-maintained. The hot tub was a definite highlight, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The location was ideal, with convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities. Another great feature was the peacefulness of the surroundings, providing a quiet and restful environment. the room offered great value for the price.
the check-in process was a bit confusing and not well-marked, making it challenging to find the designated location. These inconveniences detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Chalet Kilauea Villa was for three nights and it was a unique experience. The room, carved out of the volcano, had an intriguing mood lighting and a huge shower with two shower heads. The spacious room also had a well-equipped kitchenette and everything felt clean and updated. The hotel's location in the rainforest was perfect, being just a short drive from the National Volcano Park and within minutes of good restaurants.
Couldn't recommend more this hotel.
